Kempston Rural Pre-School
Welcome to the Ducklings information page
Our Pre-School is
a school run setting meaning that the Head Teacher and Governors are responsible for running it, however the day to day running will be the responsibility of the Pre-School Manager, Mrs. Roccotiello.
The adult pupil ratio will be 1:8 as specified in the Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines. Learning will be delivered by experienced staff following the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements and there will be close links and liaison with the Reception staff to ensure there is a smooth transition for those children that move onto Kempston Rural Lower School. All parents must however be aware that attending Kempston Rural Pre-School does not guarantee a place at the Lower School; please see the Admissions Policy for Kempston Rural Lower School.
Government funding is available for children the term after their third birthday and is available for all children who are not in school entitling them to 15 hours pre-school provision a week. Kempston Rural Pre-School will have three termly intakes each year and will cater for children the term after their third birthday right up until they are ready to start school in the Reception class. Each session will be for three hours a day, morning or afternoon. The morning sessions will run from 8.45 – 11.45am, afternoon sessions will run from 12.30 – 3.30pm. The Pre-School has its own school uniform which consists of;
Winter Boys and Girls
