Healthy School

Our School has been recognised as a ‘Healthy School’. This means that we have met the standard showing that we place a big emphasis on children’s health and well being.

Active Mark

Awarded in recognition for offering pupils at least 2 hours of high quality PE and school sport a week.

 

NAACE Mark - achieved November 2018

Our school has been awarded the above quality mark for the recognition of the positive impact of Computing in our curriculum. 

 

Woodland Trust- The Green Tree School Award

Our school has achieved the Gold award for recognising the contribution of outdoor education in our curriculum and the positive impact this has on our pupils. This was mostly achieved through Forest School. 

 

School Games Gold Award 2018 - 2019

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the 'Gold' level in the Sainsbury's school games kite mark award. This is a fantastic achievement for our school as it demonstrates core sporting values in a totally inclusive environment. We firmly believe in all children, regardless of ability, gaining the same sporting experience's throughout their time at Kempston Rural. 

Primary Science Quality Mark

In September 2018 the school received the Silver award for excellence in primary science.

 

Eco Bronze Award

The Eco Committee meet on a regular basis to ensure that the school is saving energy and recycling whenever possible. They monitor the local environment and enlist the school to take part in our local community litter picks.

 

Local Leading School

The Head Teacher is a Local Leader of Education. The school is fully committed to supporting the academic and social development of children in all schools and as such supports other schools as required.
